1. Budget Update
   
   • Remaining budget includes money for Tournaments, Small Events, Trivia Night and Pan Engineering Happy Hour.
     
   • Decided to use Happy Hour money for Summer BBQ instead.
     
   • Fiscal year changes July 1st - aim to use money by then
     
2. Events
   
   1. Trivia Night
      
      • Plan for April 23rd.
        
      • Food by Raphael, Drinks by Zeke, Question by Dan and Justin, Prizes by David, Room Reservation by Steve
        
   2. Beer/Bowling Night
      
      • Mid-may after finals
        
      • Tuesday or Wednesday nights, Tropicana Lanes has specials
        
      • Use Small Events money to subsidize, perhaps $5 per person

   3. Poker Tournament
      
      • Late May, Early June
        
      • Plan to have prizes, but no entry fee
        
      • Use Tournament money
        
      • Have food available, no alcohol

   4. Department Picnic

   5. Habitat For Humanity
      
      • David made initial contact with H4H. Need to find out roughly how many people we'll have before scheduling
3. Happy Hour
   
   • Will send out Happy Hour Survey soon, possibly resulting in new shopping list
     
   • Will start posting who is buying on calendar as advanced notice
     
   • Plan on switching up the location of HH. HH on 4/9 will be in Jolley 4. Future locations: MM lab, MM balcony, Mobilab, others?
     
4. Website Stuff
   
   • Move website to csegsa.blogspot.com to avoid annoying conversions
     
   • Collectively edit the Google Calendar.
     
   • Plan to merge GSA and DSS websites. Possible conversion during Summer, with simpler interface and data from Madeline.
     
5. New Business
   
   1. T-shirt - Send out email requesting designs. Winning design gets two free shirts.
      
   2. Get a cooler for Ice Cream at Happy Hour - check Happy Hour budget
      
   3. Preparing Future Faculty Talks
      
      • Change to Preparing Future Graduatesto include more things about what you should be doing in grad school to get the job you want, and how to figure out what job you want.
        
      • Zeke to talk to faculty and get potential speakers lined up
        
      • Use to fill empty DSS slots
        
   4. Use Money from the Happy Hour that would be when the Trivia night is to get special food for last DSS

Location: Room 234 in the Danforth Center
Meeting Time: 9:00 am start time (continental breakfast available by 8:30 am)

Free Food!: Continental breakfast (to include coffee, tea, juice, pastries and fruit) ----- Lunch at Blueberry Hill in The Loop (walk over together at the end of the meeting, approx 12:30)

1. Retreat Scheduling
   • Possible dates: 7/27, 7/28, 7/31, 8/3, 8/4, 8/6, 8/7 (best dates for Roman and Buhler)
   • Last week of July is Infocom
   • Secretary gets married August 1
   • SIGGRAPH is first week of August
   • Leaning toward 7/27 or 7/28
   • Decided on Monday 7/27
2. Finding Representative Groups
   • Ethnic Representation
   • Lab Representation - require one person from every lab - DL to send email
   • All 4 officers will attend
     
3. Topics
   • Arch. class required?
   • Grad student input into hiring
   • Bad DSS talks should be remediated - possibly do over in front of faculty
   • Solicit ideas at picnic
4. Picnic Planning
   • Gazi will rent truck/pick up grills/coolers
   • Ruosi and Greg to shopping (trying to find Sams Club)
   • Madeline has rental agreement
   • Caitlin has volleyball net
   • Some people are baking
   • Need volunteers to clean up (David)
